Available Assistance
The MRB Home program helps potential, first-time homebuyers who may not have enough money to meet down payment and closing costs. The program has interest rates that are below market level, and down payment and closing cost assistance range between 5% to 9%, depending on the loan amount. The program also offers reduced mortgage insurance for conventional loans
Eligibility Requirements
All applicants must be first-time homebuyers who are buying a property in Louisiana. Borrowers must fall at or below 80% AMI to be considered eligible for the program. They must meet the program’s income and purchase price limits (shown below) and have a minimum credit score of 640 to be considered eligible.
