Consumer Credit Counseling Service First Time Home Buyer Workshop

In an effort to help first-time homebuyers be more knowledgeable and informed about the mortgage process and what goes into owning a home, the Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) provides free, one-on-one, first-time homebuying counseling sessions. Housing counselors will provide a budget, credit report analysis, and an action plan to help potential homebuyers achieve their dreams of homeownership.

Available Assistance
CCCS offers an 8-hour First Time Home Buyer Workshop, free of charge. Some of the topics covered in the workshop include information on financing options, pre-qualifying for a mortgage, down-payment assistance programs, working with realtors, making an offer on a home, home inspections, homeowner’s insurance, closing a loan transaction, and fair housing.

Successful participants receive a certificate recognized by the City of Savannah’s DreamMaker, GA Dream, and SC Housing down payment assistance programs.
