FHA Inspectors in SOUTH CAROLINA

Getting a Home Inspection

Once primarily a farm state, revenues from many large mills in the state now outrank South Carolina's farming revenue. Farms have become fewer but larger, with peach and tobacco production among the bigger crops. South Carolina's tourism is driven by the coast's sandy beaches and islands, and the thriving cultural center of Charleston.

When making a written offer on a home in South Carolina, be sure your contract is contingent on a satisfactory home inspection conducted by an accredited home inspector. Check your home inspector's certifications for compliance with South Carolina's requirements for home inspectors, choose an inspector who specializes in residential homes, and get a copy of the inspection report. A home inspection protects the home owner, as well as the mortgage lender (Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac) providing the FHA loan. The home inspection report provides you with a detailed summary of the physical condition of the home and highlights any concerns that could require major repairs.
