Getting the Proper Home Appraisal

Nicknamed "The Treasure Sky" and "Big Sky Country," Montana is a vast state with fewer than 1,000,000 residents according to a 2008 census estimate. It is among the most sparsely populated states in the country, surpassed only by Wyoming and Alaska. Millions of tourists visit the state annually to see Glacier National Park, visit the Battle of Little Bighorn site, and enter Yellowstone National Park though three entrances within this state. Montana shares a 545 mile border with Canada on the north, and also borders the states of Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Idaho.

Montana's economy is primarily based on agriculture, but significant industries exist for lumber, mineral extraction, and tourism. The state's most prominent cities include Billings, Helena, Bozeman, Butte, and Great Falls. The 1992 film A River Runs Through It takes place in and around Missoula and was filmed on the Gallatin and Madison rivers south of Bozeman. The 1994 film Legends of the Fall takes place in remote Montana and briefly in Helena.
