Getting the Proper Home Appraisal

Colorado is nicknamed the "Centennial State" because it was granted statehood in 1876 in the centennial year of the United States Declaration of Independence. The state is known for its amazing landscape of canyons, mesas, plains, and mountains. Four of America's national parks reside in Colorado, as do 11 national forests and numerous national historic sites, scenic trails, and grasslands. Colorado's climate is complex when compared to the rest of the United States. Places even just a few miles apart can experience entirely different weather depending on topography.

Colorado has a reputation for being a state of athletic and active people. Several studies indicate that Coloradans have the lowest obesity rates in the country. Colorado's economy was originally dominated by mining and agriculture. Today, the federal government is a major economic force in the state with many important federal facilities including NORAD, U.S Air Force Academy, the Denver Mint, Buckley Air Force Base, and other federal facilities. Other industries include food processing, metal extraction, and chemical products. Colorado now has the largest annual production of beer of any state.

Colorado is home to many wonderful and unique cities, largest of which is Denver with a population over half a million residents. Other cities include Colorado Springs, Aurora, Lakewood, Fort Collins, and Pueblo. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is the second oldest motor sports race in America and a long-standing tradition in Colorado Springs. Tens of thousands of spectators show up each year to watch the race that ends at the 14,110 foot summit.
