FHA Loan Resources - A State by State Listing

April 4, 2012

Did you know the FHA and the Department of Housing and Urban Development have a web page which features listings of FHA-related news, programs, home loan resources and other information?

This page features resources compiled by state. The full list can be found at:

http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/states

FHA home loans are available nationwide, but individual states and local organizations may offer community programs to help homeowners, FHA borrowers, veterans and others who may be eligible for state/local assistance.

A good example can be found on the New Hampshire state page:

http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/states/alabama

This resource includes a press release about a HUD partnership entitled, HUD, EPA Regional Administrators Highlight New Hampshire Sustainable Communities Funding. That's just one of the items you'll find on the New Hampshire page in addition to links to local resources including where to file housing complaints, find a housing counselor and much more.

A quick look at North Carolina's page reveals a different set of topics relevant to homeowners in that area, including FEMA information for natural disaster victims at:

http://www.fema.gov/news/newsrelease.fema?id=54653

Each state may have unique information and links for conditions specific to that area--the resources found on one state page may not be available in all 50 states. Do you need resources for local foreclosure avoidance counseling or need to learn a few basics about buying versus renting? Your state's FHA page has plenty of answers. Each state also includes its own links on HUD homes for sale and local home buying programs. Learn more about the FHA/HUD website for your home state at:
